The villa is situated at Reno , a small village near Leggiuno, on the Lombard side of the Lago Maggiore. This area is famous for the antique “Santuario di S. Caterina del Sasso”, a monastery built on a rocky peak overlooking the lake in the XII century.
Easy to be reached:30 km from Malpensa airport , 75 km. from Milan, 45 km. from Lugano (CH) and 7 km. from Laveno (even by boat from Stresa, on the other shore of the lake). Two famous golf Clubs, VARESE and GOLF DEI LAGHI are very close, 18 and 12 km.
Reno is at a walking distance ( 500 mt.)
The huge villa was built in 1958 under the project of Luigi Caccia Dominioni, one of the most famous Italian architects of the XX century. Thanks to its large windows and terraces, the villa has an amazing view of the mountains and the other side of the lake.
The property is on a small hill sloping down to the lake, in a chestnut and oak wood. By the lake there are a private dock and a large lawn with an ancient tree in the middle, where you can sunbathe, relax and really enjoy your staying by the lake. Just a few steps to reach the beach.
